 What
is the next fund-raising event, and when is it happening?
A
sponsored walk to more than 700 newspaper offices and radio stations in
mainland England - 5,262 miles in total. Strangely enough that's worked
out at one mile for every day that my wife Gwen has had MS.
What exactly is the Multiple Sclerosis Research Initiative
Fund?
It is a fund-raising initiative which started with a 1000
mile sponsored walk through England, Belgium, Holland, and Germany, following
the route my father took with the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) during WW2, in
order to raise crucial funds for authorised MS research projects whose aim is
to find the cause/cure for MS, and repair the damage done by MS. The sponsored
walk raised a total of £ 9,188.42 and € 1,808.38 for the Myelin
Project, The
Accelerated Cure Project, Professor
Compston at Cambridge University, and Bury
MS Society. Click

What percentage of the money I donate will actually go
to research?
For my part I will give one hundred percent of your donation. Not one penny will
be used by me to cover fund-raising expenses of any kind.
How do I know that my donation/s will be used to fund research?
You can be secure in the knowledge that as your donations are going to registered
charities, they must by law be used for the specific purpose they were made.
Is the MSRI Fund a Registered Charity?
The MSRIF raises funds for a registered charity -
The British Trust for the Myelin Project (Charity No. 1000614), and an American
National non-profit organisation - The
Accelerated Cure Project, so it would not make sense to register the Multiple
Sclerosis Research Initiative Fund as a Charity in its own right.
How do I make a donation to The Myelin Project
or The Boston Cure Project now?
